Is XiaoShing wine the same as Shaoxing wine? : AskCulinary

I am making an attempt to determine the proper Chinese cooking wine to buy for my first strive at soup dumplings (xia lengthy bao).

I am following this recipe from Serious Eats and it requires XiaoShing wine.

Before I head to my native Asian grocery retailer, I Googled XiaoShing wine so I may know what to search for when I am confronted with their huge number of cooking wines and vinegars (since maximum in their labels have little or no English on them).

However, I am not seeing a lot for XiaoShing wine, and seek effects level me to Shaoxing Wine.

Are those the same and simply vary as a result of regional spelling/English translation causes?

Thank you!
