Dec. 11, 2019 — More than 20 heaps of frozen breakfast burritos were recalled after customers reported discovering items of plastic in them.
Ruiz Food Products of Florence, SC, recalled 55,zero13 kilos of egg, sausage, and cheese burritos, the U.S. Department of Agriculture says.
The recalled merchandise have been bought in three.38-pound packs of 12 in my opinion wrapped four.Five-ounce “El Monterey Signature Burrito Egg, Sausage & Cheese” with a best-by date of Jan. 15, 2021, and a large number of code of 19288. The burritos are stamped with “EST 45694” at the bag and on person wrappers.
The burritos have been shipped to shops around the nation.
Ruiz Foods notified USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service that 3 customers had complained of discovering white, semi-rigid plastic items within the burritos. There were no stories of accidents.
If you’ve gotten those burritos to your freezer, the USDA encourages you throw them away or go back them to the shop.
