Does intrinsic quality of a ham matter as much as other meats (eg steaks) or is preparation more vital? : AskCulinary
This is moreso referring to vacation hams vs chilly cuts.
Dont get me fallacious, I love ham. But by no means in reality had a ham that I went screaming across the block professing my love for. In my enjoy, ham typically simply tastes like ham and there doesnt appear to be too much variation within the style. Ususlly it kind of feels the primary variations can come from preparation like glazes or fruit or what no longer.
That being mentioned, I dont consume it in reality common. Would a in reality dear most sensible quality ham stand out as one thing noticeably higher, like a wagyu stesk vs choose? Or does the curing procedure finally end up leading to a more homogenous spectrum of quality?
